New Xiaomi Skynomad SUVs: Up to 505 km Electric Range and an August Premiere
Xiaomi has just dropped some exciting details about its new lineup of extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) — the Skynomad series. The big headline? These crossovers will pack a 76 kWh battery, delivering an impressive 505 km of pure electric range (according to the CLTC cycle).

The flagship model will make its first public appearance in just a few weeks, on August 21, at the Chengdu Auto Show.

Here is what we know about the new lineup so far:

Two Models to Choose From
Skynomad N70: This is a spacious five-seater (4960 mm long with a 2950 mm wheelbase). The entry-level rear-wheel-drive version packs 282 hp and a 52 kWh battery (good for 270 km of range under the stricter WLTC cycle). The all-wheel-drive variant turns things up with 416 hp and the top-tier 76 kWh battery (370–380 km WLTC range).

Skynomad N90: The larger, six-seat flagship stretches nearly 5.3 meters in length. It comes standard with an all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup producing 416 hp. With the 76 kWh battery, it offers an electric WLTC range of 363 km.

Tech Specs & Fuel Efficiency
The premium 76 kWh battery is supplied by CALB and weighs exactly 400 kg—quite light for its capacity.

Both models use the same 1.5-liter gas engine (150 hp) sourced from a Changan subsidiary. Crucially, this engine does not drive the wheels; it acts purely as a generator to recharge the battery.

Even with a completely drained battery, these SUVs remain highly efficient. The N70 consumes just 6.1–6.26 liters of fuel per 100 km, while the heavier N90 burns about 6.28 liters per 100 km. The fuel tank size is still a secret for now.

Xiaomi's Big Sales Ambitions
According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi Auto sold over 185,000 vehicles in the first half of 2026, marking a 17.2% year-over-year increase. However, the young automaker has set a bold target of 550,000 sales by the end of the year. By the looks of it, Xiaomi is betting heavily on the new Skynomad series to become a massive hit and drive the
